On the job blues are a normal part of any job.  It is important, however, to understand these symptoms to help avoid job burn out from to much work related stress.  If you are feeling not much stress about your job stability or from overworking, you will begin to feel unmotivated, which can lead to poor job performance that can lead to termination.

With hard economic times, their is a possible of a budget freeze within your company, causing many to cancel upcoming raises.  To an employee this can lead to an overwhelming sensation of stress and tension, which can lead to various health issues.

This article will give you some information on job related burn out and how to avoid it.

Symptoms and Effects:  

Are you anxiety or do you dread going to work each day, when you used to love your job?  Do you put in to many hours and leave yourself little time to relax?

How to Cure Job Burnout:

Before deciding to quit your job once and for all, you should take a step back and determine what is the cause for your work related burnout.  Is it your relationship with your boss, should you be asking for assistance, do you need to re-evaluate your workload?  Theses things are easy to correct and can alleviate your stress.  Evaluating the cause of job burnout is a very important step, and once you determine the cause you can work on correcting it.  Some other ways to alleviate job burn out is to put in less overtime, take a vacation and prioritizing you workload.

If you have done all these things and you are still suffering from work related stress or burnout you may want to consider a new career or change in employment. If you have discovered that quitting your job is the only option you may want to explore a career change. Try to assess whether or not you are in the right profession. Your chosen profession may be causing you to be burnt-out.

Whether you have spent a lot of money on education for your current profession and are now making a nice amount of money, you will need to decide if you would rather live a content, less stressful life with a new profession or continue with your current profession and the feeling of stress and burnout.
