The Biggest Loser Has it All Wrong - How Contestants Are Being Set Up For Failure

Well if it is not a big and bold statement for me to claim that The Biggest Loser, one of the most successful reality TV shows currently on air, has it all wrong I don't know what is.
I mean it and I want you to think about it with me.
The contestants apply to be on this show because they, or someone they know, want them to lose a lot of weight.
I think that part of the show is awesome and I support it fully.
America does have a much talked about obesity problem and this show brings awareness to it and proves that it is possible to lose hundreds of pounds when you exercise and eat healthier.
That being said, my issue in setting these contestants up for failure is in the method of teaching.
The "coaches" continually push the contestants to DO more, to push themselves to their physical limits.
They also are DOING all of these new things in a new environment, outside of the environment where these contestants live their lives, where they put on all this weight.
But what happens after the show is over, after the spotlights are off each contestant, and after all of their weight has been lost? The "coaches" are not around any longer, nobody is pushing these people who go back to being contestants in life and not a reality show, and they live their lives they had before they were interrupted by the show.
They go back to DOING the things they used to do; get up, eat breakfast, go to work, eat lunch, more work, go home, eat dinner, maybe a little exercise in the evening if they feel like it, watch TV, go to bed, and wake up to start the next day all over again.
It is a routine of DOING things they have been DOING long before the reality TV show came into their lives.
Now here is what I think is fundamentally wrong and why the Biggest Loser Reality TV show is setting its contestants up for failure.
The show is teaching people how to DO things but they are not teaching people how to BE.
You see, we are human BEINGS and not human DOINGS.
Our subconscious mind has a deep rooted belief system, one in which 80% of our beliefs have been developed by the time we reach the age of 18.
So while The Biggest Loser reality TV show teaches its contestants to DO things differently if they have not taught them how to BE different, how to see themselves with all of this weight loss, how to BELIEVE that they deserve to live a healthier life, then they have failed the contestants.
Also, if the contestants are not taught how to BE different in their own environment, to DO things different in their own environment, then how is it that the show can expect these contestants to HAVE different results in their environment when the lights of the show have long been turned off? I saw recently that one of the biggest winners in The Biggest Loser show history gained all of his weight back over a one year time period after the show he was on ended.
This just drills my point home; the contestants are being set up for failure because they are being taught wrong.
The BEING part is 90% of the process.
The DOING part is 10% of the process.
Anyone can be taught the easy stuff of eating less food, taking in fewer calories, eating healthier foods, and doing some exercise.
But if it is not taught to focus your thoughts on BEING different and holding this vision of who you want to BE steadfastly in your MIND and DOING the things that this new person is going to do then you will not HAVE the results you want.
It is all part of the BE-DO-HAVE principal.
Change your results, stop setting yourself up for failure, change your belief system on how you see yourself and why you believe you should be healthy or overweight, and BE the person you want to be...
that is my idea of the Biggest Loser CHALLENGE.
Of course my reality show is the reality show of life and not made for TV.
Live the life you deserve, get healthy-get fit, in mind and in body.
To your success!
