How to Thicken Rhubarb Pie
- 1). Chop 3 cups rhubarb into 1/2-inch pieces and place them into a bowl.
- 2). Add 1 cup sliced strawberries into the bowl.
- 3). Combine 1 cup sugar, 1/4 tsp. salt and 1/2 cup flour into a bowl. Mix well with a spoon. The flour will absorb the juices in the fruit as the pie bakes, making the filling thicker.
- 4). Pour the fruit into the flour mixture and mix well.
- 5). Pour the filling into a pie crust and bake the rhubarb pie in a 350-degree oven for 45 minutes.
