How to Download the Weather on a Desktop

    • 1). Right-click an open area of the Windows desktop, and select "Gadgets."

    • 2). Drag the "Weather" icon to any location on the desktop, and drop it. Close the "Gadget Gallery" window.

    • 3). Hover the mouse pointer over the Weather gadget, and click the wrench-shaped icon.

    • 4). Click the field under "Select Current Location," and type the name of your city.

    • 5). Click the magnifying glass to search for your city, and then click the city's name on the result list.

    • 6). Click "OK" to begin displaying the weather for your area on the desktop.
