    • 1). Turn on the printer. Lower the access door and wait while the cartridges move to the middle and stop. Remove the old cartridges and replace them with new ones, if you have not done so already. Ensure the protective cover is removed from the copper contacts and that your fingers don't touch the metal.

    • 2). Unplug the USB cable from the back of the printer.

    • 3). Print the alignment page and place it under the scan lid. Press the "Scan" button. The "On" button will flash and the HP All-in-One printer will scan the alignment page. When the scan is complete, the power button stops blinking.

    • 4). Reattach the USB cable to your printer.
