Leaving a Legacy - 10 Power Thoughts on Your Destiny
That is called legacy.
You have a say on what will be said about you.
You are writing that script right now as you live.
Live life the way you want it to be remembered.
As for me, I have made a choice that I will not be anonymous.
I share ten thoughts to help you understand matters pertaining to destiny.
1.
Your legacy is that which remains long after you have departed from the planet earth.
2.
Your legacy is the results of how you live and handled the affairs of life, good or bad.
3.
A person who truly lives is one who understands the times, what he ought to do and pursues his purpose.
The Apostle Paul at the end of his life could say that he had fought the good fight of faith, ran his race and finished well.
Those claims can only be made by somebody who knew his purpose.
Esau on the other hand will be remembered for selling his birthright and squandering his opportunity to be one of the patriarchs because of a desire for instant gratification.
Esau despised his birthright and relinquished it to his brother Jacob for a bowl of soup.
4.
Whether you leave behind a good or bad legacy, it depends on the quality of your choices 5.
Your legacy will never be something you are not.
If you are a thief, that's what people will remain with after you are gone.
6.
Knowing your identity simplifies your life and places you firmly on the path to reaching your destiny.
It will determine where you go, what you do and how well you do it.
Before you can do something you have to become.
You cannot teach well before you become a teacher for example.
7.
People who make ordinary decisions, live ordinary lives, will die an ordinary death, and be buried in an ordinary grave and leave a legacy of mediocrity.
8.
Your legacy is unique to you and has everything to do with how God wired you in the first place.
There is greatness inside each and every one of us.
There is no need to copy others, emulate methods that are good but remain true.
9.
What you hunger and thirst for will determine where you will go to find fulfillment and satisfaction and what you fill yourself with you will reproduce in behaviour and habits and that becomes your legacy.
10.
Your legacy is not the good ideas you come up with because you are clever.
When you cooperate with Jehovah God your maker, He will direct your path and you will be remembered for fulfilling your purpose and carrying out His assignment for your life.
