How to Have a Pretty Face
- 1). Wear sunscreen all day, every day. Nothing ages and damages skin faster than sun exposure. Sun damage causes spotting of the skin and premature wrinkling, in addition to being linked to cancers. You can keep your face pretty and your body healthy by wearing sunscreen every day. Try a moisturizer with an SPF built in, and make sun protection part of your daily routine.
- 2). Remove your makeup every night. Use makeup remover to take off stubborn products--like mascara and eyeliner, especially if they're water resistant--wash your face with a gentle cleanser and moisturize your skin as part of your bedtime regime. Sleeping with makeup on soils your sheets and pillow and clogs up your pores so that your skin can't breath and replenish itself.
- 3). Avoid touching your face or picking at blemishes. Every time you touch your face, you transfer dirt and oil from your hand to your delicate facial skin, making you more prone to breakouts. Picking blemishes only makes them susceptible to infection and can lead to scarring, so keep your hands away from your face to keep that face pretty.
- 4). Treat your skin gently. The skin on your face, especially the skin around your eyes, is the most delicate on your entire body. Don't pull and prod your face, and you can keep your skin glowing and your face beautiful for years to come.
- 5). Highlight your assets. Use makeup that flatters your skin tones and your features to play up your best parts. You can focus on a great complexion, beautiful eyes, strong cheekbones or luscious lips. With a little makeup, carefully and correctly applied, you can make your well-cared for, pretty face even prettier.
