How to Say Thank You for a Baby Shower
- 1). Purchase a special card to send to your hostess to thank her for the baby shower. While you probably have standard thank you cards to thank the baby shower guests for the baby gifts, make the hostess thank you card larger and nicer than the standard cards.
- 2). Write a special note inside the card, expressing your gratitude for everything the hostess did to make your baby shower special. Refer to every aspect of the shower specifically in the note to make sure the hostess recognizes that you noticed her efforts and you appreciate them. For example, mention the foods you especially liked, something specific about the cake, tell the hostess which game you liked best, talk about any special decorations you noticed, tell the hostess what you liked about the prizes she awarded and tell her how much you enjoyed spending time with the guests she invited.
- 3). Give the hostess a hostess gift to express your gratitude, if you desire. While a hostess gift is not mandatory, it sends a special message of thanks. Suggestions for a meaningful gift include a gift basket full of pampering personal care products, a gift card to her favorite store, gift certificate for a pedicure, potted houseplant, good bottle of wine or a CD or DVD you know your hostess wants.
