There are really a lot of traditions involving weddings, two in particular are about bouquet and garter toss. But these two traditions are also slowly being replaced by the different activities done at the wedding reception. It is even seen that in the last five years, wedding planners have seen a decline of doing these two traditions and estimate the frequency of bouquet and garter toss to be approximately 50 percent. So should you still consider throwing your bouquet and garter toss (for the guys) at your own wedding? Or could you live without these at your own wedding?

It is still a matter of your own choice if you are going to include them at the reception. You can ask your DJ to help you plan these activities since he will have suggested versions of bouquet and garter toss traditions that may satisfy you and your guests.

There are a lot of advantages if you are going to include these activities in your wedding reception. For instance, guests will be more involved as this will create suspense for the single guests. And if you have great single friends, you can expect that this will really be fun. When hosting the toss, it would be enjoyable for single friends to meet others on the dance floor. And we should not leave married couples too. Professional DJs knows how to create simple techniques that will allow guests to enjoy the toss and bouquet thus creating a memorable event.

Let us also not forget that it is a tradition. Some of your guests are even anticipating that you will have this at your reception. The wedding bouquet toss may be extended less, but the garter toss may be well anticipated by the older generations. Doing such traditions are in fact, fulfilling familiarity within the others who are expecting it.

And beside from observing tradition, this will also be a great opportunity to capture great memories both in photos and videos. The camera will for certain capture the great smiles and laughter brought about by the scene while the video will allow the couple to watch the event over and over again.

But again, whether you think you will include these events in your wedding planning, it is all about your decision and where you think you and your guests will be more comfortable. The success of putting these in the reception program will all depend on how your guests would participate. If your guests don't want to participate much, then they would not be that fun. But if your guests are all into it, then it is certain that it is going to be fun all the way.
