How to Find Out If an Ink Is Compatible With Your Printer?
- 1). Write down your printer number. This will usually be on the front of the machine.
- 2). Check your printer manual to see if it says what inks the printer can take. Most will list this information and will give you added verification to the printer number.
- 3). Take the empty ink cartridge with you to the store, if possible. This way, you can be sure to get the exact same one.
- 4). Check the packaging at the store. Compare the ink number to the number you wrote down in the second step. Compare the "Compatible with..." printers listed (almost all cartridge packages have this) with the printer model you wrote down in the first step. If you brought along your old cartridge, triple-check by making sure the picture on the package looks the same.
