A community development officer is recruited by neighbourhood, city or municipality to ensure growth of a region. Such officers work with non-profit teams, financial institutions and social agencies. Economic Development:

The officer will develop or expand existing businesses in community and identify as well as seek opportunities for new businesses. These professionals secure funding, negotiate work agreements as well as develop long plans for financial growth in community. Urban Planning

7· Preparing Terms of reference (TOR) for appropriate surveys or studies and supervise the work of the consultants. TOR defines the purpose as well as structure of project, meeting or other similar things involving people who wish to work to achieve shared goal

Educational Qualification:

Candidates who have acquired MastersEUR(TM) degree in different disciplines such as Social Work, Sociology, Community Development and Economics are eligible to work as community development officer.

Experience:

Minimum three years of job experience in the community development and social mobilization that is related to the municipal services.

Essential Skills:

The professionals should have excellent interpersonal and analytical skills along with organisational ability. They must obtain, analyse and assess wide ranging information. Another requisite skill of the officer is organization, interpretation and presentation of information either in written or oral form for diverse audiences. Ability to work in team, interpersonal skill and a degree of computer technology are preferred.
