It Tastes Good, But Will it Kill You?
Food additives or "excitotoxins" are chemicals that have been added to processed foods to make them taste good or to preserve them.
There are currently over 3000 food additives approved by the FDA! A few of them you might recognize are MSG, aspartame, and hydrolized protein - whether you eat at home or in a restaurant, they are in all processed foods.
Excitotoxins are extremely harmful and are linked to many neurological disorders, among them, Alzheimers, Autism, ALS seizures, migraines, allergies and disorders of the endocrine system.
What can you do to avoid excitotoxins? First of all, recognize that they are not a food group! Stop eating out of boxes, bags and cans...
stop reaching for the junk! You cannot lead a balanced life without proper nutrition.
It will do you no good to exercise every day and eat food that does not nourish your body.
Everything in moderation; if you must have some "junk", then make it a rare occasion- not a diet plan.
The following is a list of just a few of the excitotoxins in our food sources.
The FDA isn't requiring the powerful excitotoxins aspartame, aspartate and l-cysteine to be on any labels.
In fact, many companies are actively promoting products that are "good for you" because they have replaced regular sugar with aspartame...
talk about wolf in sheep's clothing! Monosodium Glutamate (MSG): a flavor enhancer that has been added to so many food sources.
These are chemicals designed to increase your appetite.
Aspartame: artificial sweetener found in foods and drinks (particularly soda), primarily added to boost sales.
Hydrolyzed Vegetable Protein: deemed perfectly safe and "natural".
Derived from "junk" vegetables that are not fit for human consumption.
High concentration of glutamate, aspartate and cystoic acid; very toxic substances.
Everything from canned tuna to baby foods.
This stuff is sludge..
