How to Adjust the Headlights on a '97 Tahoe
- 1). Park your Chevy Tahoe 25 feet away from a closed garage door.
- 2). Turn on the headlights.
- 3). Open the hood of your Tahoe. Locate the adjustment bolts on the top of the housing assembly. To do this, look between the edge of the plastic piece on top of the Tahoe's grille. There will be two small bolts located on the top of the housing.
- 4). Turn the bolts with a socket wrench until the headlight beams on both headlights overlap each other by about 45 percent and the center of the headlight beam sits at the bottom of the garage door where the door meets the ground.
