7 Hot Tips to Make Money on eBay Working From Home

I was a powerseller for a number of years on eBay so I know what I am talking about when it comes to making money online selling products in this marketplace.
Here are some tips you can follow to make money on eBay that will result in a good income: 1) Do your research before you even begin.
Find hot selling products using eBay Pulse and looking at product trends to identify these.
Draw up a shortlist of the types of items you would like to sell.
2) Find a supplier.
Check out suppliers in your area and find out where traders are going to source these items.
Work out the price you are buying them at versus the price they are typically selling for in order to work out your predicted profit margin.
3) Don't forget to account for listing fees, final value fees and paypal fees as they eat into your profits quicker than Pacman.
Seriously, you need to work all this out before you sell even one product because if you don't all your efforts will be in vain and you will feel like you are selling stuff on there for charity.
Remember eBay is a business and they are not in business to make you money.
You are in business to make money on eBay, not give it all to them and have nothing left to show for it.
4) Spread your listings apart so you increase the overall exposure of your listings.
People are online at different times of the week so it makes no sense to list everything on the same day or to finish on the same date.
5) Work out your postal charges in advance but don't overcharge your customers.
Customers will leave you bad feedback if they feel you are ripping them off with the postal charges so just don't do it.
Be fair and they will buy from you again.
eBay have put the whole sales process in favor of buyers now to ensure sellers have to meet very high criteria.
I personally think the criteria is now too high in some areas but they exist to serve the buyers and give them what they want.
6) Build a list of subscribers so you can alert them to new listings/products.
7) Always keep your promises.
If you say you are going to dispatch items the next day, then definitely do that or your reputation will suffer.
