    • 1). Peel away the guarana seed's red skin. This is easier if you first loosen the skin by soaking the seed and in water or allowing it to air dry for three to four days.

    • 2). Wash the seeds in fresh, running water.

    • 3). Place the guarana seeds on a baking sheet. Roast them at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 10 minutes.

    • 4). Allow the seeds to cool to room temperature.

    • 5). Grind the guarana seeds into a powder with a mortar and pestle or food processor.

    • 6). Store the guarana powder in a sealable glass container in a cool spot out of direct sunlight.
