    • 1). Cut fresh, new flowers in the early morning. Red clover flowers continuously from May through September. Use a pair of sharp pruning shears to snip the flower head just below where it attaches to the stalk.

    • 2). Lay the flowers on a mesh drying screen or a paper towel to dry completely. As the flowers dry they will change from a rich, bright purple to a deeper, purple color.

    • 3). Place the dried flowers in a glass jar and store in a cool, dry place until you are ready to use use them for tea, tinctures, or other preparations.
