How to Change the Distributor in a 1992 Buick Roadmaster
- 1). Open your Roadmaster's hood and remove the negative battery cable with your socket set.
- 2). Note where your number one spark plug wire is lined up on your distributor by marking it with chalk or tape.
- 3). Pry the cap off the top off your distributor.
- 4). Remove the retaining bolt from your Roadmaster's distributor and then slide your distributor off.
- 5). Pull the spark plug wires from the old distributor and plug them into the corresponding holes in the new distributor. Set your Roadmaster's new distributor in place with the number one spark plug lined up with the mark you made earlier. Tighten down the retaining bolt and replace the distributor cap.
- 6). Re-connect your negative battery cable.
