Troubleshooting a Craftsman 19.2 Cordless Drill
- 1). Place the charger into a known working electrical outlet. Allow the drill time to charge. Approximately two hours is enough to determine if the battery takes a charge.
- 2). Pull the trigger on the drill. If the drill chuck does not spin, locate a second charger and repeat step 1. If you do not have access to a second charger, take the drill to Sears. The store might have a charger on hand you can troubleshoot with. If the drill still does not turn on with the use of a second charger, this indicates your charger is not defective.
- 3). Install a second battery pack .The battery pack goes into the handle of the drill. There is a tab on each side; press the tabs with your fingers and pull out the battery pack. Place the new battery pack into the drill.
- 4). Charge the new battery pack for at least two hours and then pull the trigger on the drill. If the drill still does not work, take the drill to Sears for an in-store replacement under the warranty. If you do not have access to a second battery pack, contact your Sears store to see if they can help you with one.
