Romance - Something Which Lies in the History
From a very early age we are taught to read and write and this kind of ability is then used for reading the different kinds of work that is available in the field of literature. One of the genres that are widely read and loved all over the world is romance. It is a literary genre of a kind, and besides it represents a very high culture. In some verses and countries it is also known as chivalry romance and revolves around prose and narrative styles which come in verses.
This was something that was seen in the medieval times and specifically in Europe where the aristocratic class was deeply involved in the reading of this particular genre.
Early period in the modern era of Europe too saw its involvement in this genre. Usually this particular genre gave the readers particular stories which were remembered even years after it was written. The common ones involved a lot of adventures with an amazing class of knight's tales. It usually described the knights who were the heroes and got involved in the form of love that we all know about while they were on some particular quest or mission. The novels and the stories which had romance as the theme also touched the outlines of fairy tales, fantasy was predominant. It was written in such a way that it would draw readers of all class, taste and would touch the chords and strike them so that they couldn't resist reading them all.
The evidence lies in all the scripts that are found during the medieval period of Europe where it had a deep impact. That particular era is till famous for this kind of work. This is one of the most famous kinds of literary branch. The languages which were used to write the stories initially were old French, Occitan, and Anglo-Norman. But years down the line English was predominantly used along with German.
Courtly love was shown basically in the stories which had the actual French origin and theses were the works of famous writers which were later translated and widely read by the readers who preferred other languages.
