How to Remove Iron-On Transfers From Canvas
- 1). Turn on your iron and let it heat up for three to four minutes. Set a piece of parchment paper over the top of the iron-on transfer and heat the transfer by ironing over it with a hot iron.
- 2). Peel the iron-on transfer from the canvas by removing the parchment paper and gently pulling on the corner of the transfer with tweezers while the transfer is still hot. Continue to pull on the transfer, gently peeling away as much as you can before it cools.
- 3). Place the parchment paper back over the iron-on transfer and heat it again using a hot iron. Remove the parchment paper and continue peeling the transfer from the canvas. Repeat this process until you have removed as much of the iron-on transfer as possible.
- 4). Remove the remaining traces of the iron-on transfer and glue by dipping a cotton swab in rubbing alcohol and wetting the underside of the transfer with the wet cotton swab. Let the alcohol soak completely into the transfer and peel the iron-on from the canvas using tweezers.
