How do I Retrieve Erased Images From Digital Camera Freeware?
- 1). Turn off the digital camera. Remove the memory card from the camera's memory-card slot. Place the digital camera aside.
- 2). Download a free memory-card recovery program to the PC's desktop, for example, the free Smart Recovery Memory card program (see link in Resources). Double-click the file once it is fully downloaded. Follow the menu commands to install the program on the PC's hard drive. Restart the PC.
- 3). Right-click on the desktop. Select "New folder' from the pop-up menu. Name the folder "Recovered."
- 4). Insert the slotted end of the memory card into the slot on the memory-card adapter. Plug the USB connector on the memory card adapter into a USB port on the PC.
- 5). Launch the free memory-card recovery program by selecting its name from the "Start," "All Applications" pop-up menu.
- 6). Click on the "Browse" button next to the "File Destination" tab. Navigate in the widow that appears on the desktop. Double-click on the icon of the "Recovered" folder to close the window.
- 7). Select the "Scan" button at the left side of the program. Wait as the program scans for all of the drives that are connected to the PC.
- 8). Select the icon of the memory card that is in the center column of the program. Click the "Start Scan" button at the bottom of the program's screen.
- 9). Wait for a new screen to appear. Select the file that was "erased" by the digital camera from the list presented in the center column by clicking on it once with the mouse.

Click the "Recover" button at the bottom of the screen. Quit the program once you see the icon of the file in the open window of the "Recovered" folder on the desktop. - 11
Eject the memory card by right-clicking on its icon on the desktop and selecting "Eject" from the pop-up menu. Pull the memory-card reader out of the PC's USB port. Pull the memory card out of the memory card reader's slot. Return the memory card to the digital camera.
