How to Make Makeup Noticeable With Glasses

    • 1). Put your eyeglasses on, and look at yourself in the mirror. Look at your eyes to observe whether they look smaller or larger when you are wearing glasses. Remove your eyeglasses, and compare the appearance of your eyes without the frames.

    • 2). Smooth on an eyeshadow primer using your little finger. Primer helps to keep your eyeshadow from creasing.

    • 3). Rub some under eye concealer across a makeup wedge sponge, and gently pat it under your eyes to lightly cover any under eye circles. Do not rub the sponge because the skin under your eyes is especially delicate.

    • 4). Choose your eyeshadow shades based on how your eyes appear when you wear glasses. If your eyes look smaller, use a lighter, matte eyeshadow shade; if eyeglasses magnify your eyes, use a darker eyeshadow color.

    • 5). Swipe an eyeshadow brush across the eyeshadow you are putting on. Gently apply it across your eyelids to your brow line. Depending on what effect you want to achieve, use a darker shade if you need to make your eyes appear smaller. Use a small amount of a sparkly version of the matte shade on your eyelids if you need to make your eyes appear larger. Brush a small amount of the darker shade across the crease of your eyes, and carefully blend it until it fades at the outer corner of your eyes. Apply a small amount of the sparkly version, blending it into the matte eyeshadow.

    • 6). Draw light, feathery strokes with an eyeliner across your eyelids from the middle to the outer corners, then add feathery strokes under your lower eyelashes. Make your eyes appear wider by only adding the eyeliner to the outer fourth of your lower lids. Use the makeup wedge to blend the eyeliner.

    • 7). Place the eyelash curler on your top eyelashes only, then gently squeeze the top and bottom of the curler together. Open the curler, and slowly remove it from your eyelashes.

    • 8). Open the tube of mascara, and begin applying a light layer of mascara to your top lashes, moving from the roots to the ends. Allow your eyelashes to dry, then apply a light second layer. Move to the bottom lashes, and apply one layer.

    • 9). Apply a bright or dark lipstick if your eyeglass frames are noticeable.
