How to Cite a Flier in MLA
- 1). List the name of the author of the pamphlet in the following format: last name, first name. If the author is an organization, simply list the name of the organization, followed by a period. If no author is listed, skip this step.
- 2). List the title of the flier in quotation marks, followed by a period.
- 3). Briefly describe the flier. Follow this information with a period.
- 4). List the name of the organization associated with the flier, followed by a period. If no organization is associated with the flier, skip this step.
- 5). List the city and state of production, followed by a period. If this flier does not seem to be associated with a particular location, skip this step.
- 6). List the date on which the flier was issued or printed, followed by a period. In MLA style, dates should be formatted with the day first, followed by the month and year. The names of months should be abbreviated down to three letters. For example: 13 Apr. 2010. If no date is given, list the date as: n.d.
- 7). List the medium of publication, followed by a period. If you are citing a flier, this should appear as follows: Print.
- 8). Ensure that the finished citation appears in the following format: Johnny's House of Pizza. "Two-For-One Pizza Specials." Flier distributed to local college students. Johnny's House of Pizza. Orono, ME. n.d. Print.
