How to Handle Slow Computers Efficiently?

There are many reasons which can cause a computer slow down to occur and because of that the user cannot complete his task in time.
When a computer is newly bought from the market, it works at a very high speed and complete all the tasks assigned to it in very little time.
But with time, the performance of the computer declines and it starts to frustrate its user as it takes a longer amount of time to complete the tasks it has been assigned and hence the computer is said to become slow.
One of the most common reasons for which a computer becomes slow is due to the accumulation of internet cache files in the hard disk of the computer on which the user has been working for a long time.
When the user surfs the internet using his browser, all the files required to surf the internet are stored in the temporary internet folder so that next time these files do not have to be downloaded again and can be used from the cache itself to ensure a fast browsing session.
But these cache files eat up a lot of computer's memory and hence there is very less memory available for the rest of the computer applications.
These files can be easily deleted by the user either manually locating the folder in the hard disk of the computer or by using the disk cleanup utility provided by the windows operating system itself.
This utility can either be accessed from the control panel or by going in to the properties of the drive in which the operating system is installed.
When all the temporary internet files are removed, a lot of used up memory is freed and the computer's performance automatically shoots up as other applications are able to access more amount of memory to complete their tasks.
