How to Extract Dandelion Tea
- 1). Cut the leaves and flowers from a dandelion. Wash them thoroughly in a bowl of water. Let them sit in the water for a few minutes, rub them with your hands and then rinse the leaves and flowers with fresh water.
- 2). Shake the water off and towel-dry the dandelion pieces. Place the leaves and flowers in a piece of cheesecloth and tie it into a bundle. Tie a string around it and hang it to air-dry for at least one week.
- 3). Chop the dried dandelion. Crumble it with your hands or chop it in a food processor. Put the dandelion in a mason jar.
- 4). Place a teaspoon of dandelion in a tea ball and set it in a teacup. Or you can place the dandelion directly into the cup.
- 5). Boil water and gradually pour it into the cup until it is almost full. Stir and cover the cup for a few minutes.
- 6). Remove the tea ball or strain the dandelion tea into a clean teacup and sweeten it to your taste.
- 1). Bring a medium pot of water to boil. Cut the root and leaves from a dandelion.
