How to Remove Grease Stains From Leather & Suede Fabrics
- 1). Soak up any excess grease on the leather or suede fabric. Dab at the grease stain with a paper towel or cloth until the extra grease is absorbed.
- 2). Shake a small amount of cornstarch or talcum powder onto the grease stain. Allow the substance to remain on the stain for about 4 hours before wiping off. Repeat as necessary.
- 3). Gently apply an art gum eraser to suede fabrics. Brush the eraser over the affected area until the stain is gone.
- 4). Apply a leather degreaser to grease-stained leather fabrics. Most come in aerosol cans, so spray the affected area with the product. The spray will turn into a powdery substance. Allow it to sit on the stain and then wipe away. Repeat as necessary.
