How to Repair AVG Free 8.0
- 1). Download AVG Free 8.0. Click the installation link to install it to your computer.
- 2). During the installation, you will have an option to Add/Remove Components, Repair Installation and Uninstall AVG Free 8.0. Select "Repair," click "Next" then go through the onscreen instructions.
- 3). Restart your computer by clicking on "Start" and "Restart" next to the padlock.
- 4). Check that AVG Free 8.0 is working properly. Open by clicking on the icon on your desktop or through the Start Menu.
- 5). Uninstall and reinstall AVG Free if the repair installation did not work. Download AVG Free 8.0 again. During the installation, choose "Uninstall," click "Next," then go through the onscreen instructions. Reboot your computer. Download AVG Free one more time. Go through the onscreen instructions to install it to your computer. Open AVG Free by clicking on the icon on your desktop, or through the Start menu to make sure it is working.
