How to Get Rid of Cat Hair in Carpets
- 1). Rake a rubber broom over the carpet. Starting on one side of the room, slowly make a 6-foot path, gliding the broom over the carpet. Move a step over and make another sweeping path, until you have swept the entire carpet. Remove cat hair from the broom periodically as it loosens and clings to the rubber.
- 2). Fill a spray bottle with water. Add 2 tbsp. of liquid fabric softener to the bottle. Screw on the spray top, and shake the bottle.
- 3). Spray the solution lightly over the carpet. Do not saturate the rug; gently mist it only.
- 4). Vacuum the carpet after it has dried completely. Replace the vacuum bag before it becomes too full. If you have a bagless vacuum, empty the canister after each cleaning session.
