How to Clean Mohawk Laminate Floors
- 1). Move any furniture present on the Mohawk laminate flooring to one side of the room, if possible.
- 2). Vacuum the flooring with a stick vacuum cleaner to remove any loose dust and dirt from the floor's surface.
If you don't have a stick vacuum cleaner, sweep the Mohawk laminate flooring with a soft plastic broom. Pick up any debris with a dust pan and dispose of the debris in a trash can. - 3). Fill a bucket with 1 gallon of warm water. Dip a soft mop in the bucket. Wring out excess water from the mop. The mop should be damp, not dripping with water. Wear latex gloves to keep your hands dry.
- 4). Mop the Mohawk laminate flooring with the damp mop. Re-dip the mop, if needed, and continue mopping until the floor is clean.
- 5). Dry the flooring with a large, nonabrasive cloth or rag.
- 1). Fill a small pot with 2 cups of nail polish remover. Wear latex gloves to keep your hands dry.
- 2). Dip a small, nonabrasive cloth or rag in the pot. Wring out excess nail polish remover.
- 3). Scrub the stains gently with the nail-polish-soaked cloth or rag until the stains are gone.
- 4). Rinse the small, nonabrasive cloth or rag with warm water from a sink. Wring out excess water. Wipe the Mohawk laminate flooring with the damp cloth or rag.
- 5). Dry the flooring with a clean, nonabrasive cloth or rag.
