    • 1). Park your 1993 Honda Accord and then use the parking brake. You have to ensure that the car can't roll. Block the tires if the car starts to roll. You may use large stones, logs or other solid objects for keeping the car in position.

    • 2). Take out the jack and the spare tire. Set the jack below the frame close to the tire that will be changed. Support the car with the jack, but don't lift it off the ground yet. Ensure that the jack is lifting straight up and down.

    • 3). Loosen the lug nuts by turning them counter-clockwise. Don't take these off yet, as you are only loosening them. Pump the jack and lift the vehicle. You should raise it just high enough to be able to take off the tire and to put on the spare. Pry off the hubcap with a screwdriver.

    • 4). Take off the lug nuts completely. Take off the tire by pulling it toward you. Put your tire below the car to assure that it will not roll away.

    • 5). Put the spare tire on by lining up the rim with wheel bolts, and then put the lug nuts on. Tighten the nuts by hand until they all are snug. The nuts should easily turn. Use the wrench to tighten the nuts as tight as possible. Do not use too much force because it may cause the jack to fall.

    • 6). Lower the car and tighten the lug nuts further. When the car has reached the ground, remove the jack. Tighten the nuts once again and then replace the hubcap. You should be careful while tightening the lug nuts. Because the car wheel studs may split and break if the nuts have been tightened more than it needs. Keep the damaged tire in the trunk of the car.
