How to Change Wallpaper Photo on iPhone
- 1
iPhone settings button
Turn on your iPhone and navigate to the "settings" area by touching the "Settings" button, found among your applications icons on the home screen. Look for the gray button with gears icon as seen in the screen capture here. (Click on the photo to enlarge it) If you have lots of apps on your iPhone and have moved your icons around, it may be on the second screen. - 2
iPhone Settings for Wallpaper
The settings screen will open and you'll see a group of about eight icons, followed by descriptive labels on that screen with "wallpaper" as one of the choices. Touch the "wallpaper" option to open up those settings. You'll note that there are all your iPhone settings options including "Airplane Mode", "Sounds", "Brightness" and of course, "Wallpaper". If you scroll down the screen, you'll see any Apps you've added to your phone which have settings of their own. - 3
iPhone Wallpaper screen
You'll arrive at the Wallpaper settings screen, seen in the image capture here. The top option will take you to a screen showing first the iPhone default set of very nice pretty pictures. If you like those choices, by all means use one of them - or change them regularly when your mood changes from that iPhone default nasa image of earth, taken from space to a butterfly mood or flower mood. But if you're like me, you'll want more options, like my favorite vacation photo of lava flowing into the ocean in Hawaii, seen in the top image, above. - 4
iPhone default wallpaper images
Choose the iPhone default images from among the "Wallpaper" options and pick any of the shots provided by Apple. If you like that shot of earth taken from space or any of the admittedly pretty photos as your screen shot, by all means choose one and enjoy. Choose the "Set Wallpaper" button and you've chosen your new phone background image. But if you are like me, you'll want the option of other photos, such as my favorite vacation photo from Hawaii of lava flowing into the ocean, seen in that top image above. - 5
iPhone Wallpaper
Here's a simpler option to choose any photo from your full photo library as the wallpaper for your iphone. Simply navigate to your "Photo Library" and find your favorite shot of your sweetheart smiling at you or a cool snapshot from your weekend taken with your phone. Touch the thumbnail image and then tap the larger photo and look for a small curved arrow pointing slightly upward in the lower left corner of the screen. Touch that icon and you'll see several options. The first choice is "Use as Wallpaper" - touch that button and you've changed our wallpaper to that photo!
