Cupboard Candlemaking Instructions
- 1). Fill the bottom part of a double boiler halfway up with water. Place the top part inside the bottom part. Fill a large, empty coffee can with 2 lb. of beeswax pellets, and place the coffee can inside the top part of the double boiler. Heat the double boiler over medium heat until the wax melts completely.
- 2). Hold an 18-inch long piece of cotton candle wick in your hand. Slowly dip the ends of the wick into the wax, one at a time. Leave the wick in the wax for two seconds, and then lift it out. Let the wick cool down for one minute, then dip it into the wax again. Repeat this pattern until the candles have been built up to the width that you desire.
- 3). Hang a sturdy stick horizontally inside your kitchen cupboard, securing it with duct tape. Drape the candles over the stick, and leave them there for at least two hours to cool down completely before you use them.
