How to Replace a GMC Denali Brake Switch
- 1). Disconnect the electrical connector from the rear of the brake light switch by pulling it off. If it does not pull off easily, use the screwdriver to press in on the plastic tab. Remove the spring clip from the roll pin that extends through the switch and pedal arm using the needle-nose pliers.
- 2). Pull the roll pin out with your fingers, then remove the switch.
- 3). Install the new switch by passing the roll pin through the switch and installing the spring clip. You may have to push the spring clip in with needle nose pliers. Plug in the electrical connector to the brake light switch.
