How to Make Win98 Boot
- 1). Place the Windows 98 CD in your optical drive, and reboot your PC.
- 2). Press any key when prompted by the Windows install disk to boot from the CD.
- 3). Follow the installation prompts and format your drive if necessary. Formatting your drive will erase all of your data, so make sure you have recent backups. Reboot your PC when prompted. Enter your product key, and reboot your PC if necessary.
- 1). Place the Windows 98 CD in your optical drive, and reboot your PC. Strike any key when prompted to boot from the CD.
- 2). Follow the prompts and select "repair installation." Click through the prompts, and allow the process to complete.
- 3). Reboot the PC into your freshly repaired Windows 98 installation.
